To our village residents who received letters from National Grid this week:
Our energy program was not set to begin as early as National Grid stated in their first letter. National Grid is obligated to tell customers where their energy supply is coming from. They were obligated to report to you that you are still a National Grid customer for the next billing cycle.
No one needs to read their meter and report it to National Grid, as they suggested, National Grid is responsible for that data collection and reading.
In all likelihood, when the program with Constellation for renewable energy begins – for those who stayed opted in – they will see another letter from National Grid stating the switch to Constellation has happened. This is expected albeit very confusing.
