A BIG shout-out and a HUGE thank you to Grinds Cafe and Sweet Shoppe, located at 122 West Ave. Their amazing local pastry chef, Cindy Repp, has baked up something special: commemorative Stars And Stripes Homemade Cut Out Cookies! Even sweeter? $1.00 from every cookie...

Brockport’s next Winter Serenades event celebrates the return of fan favorite Chris Wilson. It will be held Sunday, March 2, 3p.m., at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Main and State Streets, Brockport.

There is no charge and tickets are not required, thanks to the generosity of many local music lovers.  The audience is invited to stay for the customary informal “Meet the Artists” reception afterward in the social hall.  Light refreshments are served.

Appropriate for all ages, the Serenades are also available for home viewing during the performance and later.  See www.stlukesbrockport.org for a streaming link or go directly to YouTube.   The series was initially titled Cabin Fever for good reason.  After many days of snow, ice, and sunless skies, it’s exciting to be able to get out again for live music.!

For more information, contact the Village of Brockport at www.brockportny.gov or call 585-637-5300.  Sign up on the Get Notifications link for up-to-date announcements.  Access to the Notifications was important when bad weather necessitated cancellation of the February 16 performance.

The Winter Serenades series continues with the Laura Dubin Trio at 3:00 on March 16.

Add March 30 to your calendar for the rescheduled Great American Songbook performance with Michael Lasser, Alan Jones and Connie Fredericks-Malone with many favorite songs.

The Serenades committee – Terry Carbone, Jacquie Davis, Pat Kutz, and Gary Skoog – is busy planning the July and August Summer Serenades series.  Watch for the Spring announcement of a very exciting 2025 schedule.  Consider volunteering to help; your financial support is also welcome.
