Village of Brockport Department of Public Works

The Village of Brockport Department of Public Works is seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Seasonal Mowing Laborer. This is a great opportunity to work outdoors and contribute to the beautification of our community during the summer season.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain various mowing equipment, including riding mowers, push mowers, and trimmers.
  • Mow and trim grass in parks, public spaces, and other designated areas within the Village of Brockport.
  • Perform general grounds maintenance tasks, such as edging, weeding, and debris removal.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State Driver’s License required.
  • Ability to operate and maintain mowing equipment.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.

Schedule:

  • 29.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Compensation:

  • Up to $21.00/hour

Additional Requirements:

  • Applicants are subject to pre-employment and random alcohol/drug testing.
