Village of Brockport Department of Public Works
The Village of Brockport Department of Public Works is seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Seasonal Mowing Laborer. This is a great opportunity to work outdoors and contribute to the beautification of our community during the summer season.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain various mowing equipment, including riding mowers, push mowers, and trimmers.
- Mow and trim grass in parks, public spaces, and other designated areas within the Village of Brockport.
- Perform general grounds maintenance tasks, such as edging, weeding, and debris removal.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State Driver’s License required.
- Ability to operate and maintain mowing equipment.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
Schedule:
- 29.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Compensation:
- Up to $21.00/hour
Additional Requirements:
- Applicants are subject to pre-employment and random alcohol/drug testing.
