Here’s the latest from NYSDOT.  All the remaining pieces and parts for the bridge are on site and in the process of being assembled.  Now that the lifting posts, whose delayed delivery held up work for several months, are in place and operational, the bridge can be lowered.  This is scheduled to be done today (March 12).  The date for completion and opening of the bridge has not been set, but all parties are aware that the bridge must be fully completed and open to traffic before the Navigation Season on the canal (May 16th).  Going forward, I shall be posting updates regularly every two weeks, then weekly as completion nears.
